Lady in the Water

I just watched “Lady in the Water”; a new film from M Night Shyamalan that people are saying was his failure. But I don’t care what the critics say, I think it was great. I always had a thing for folk tales; there is this little childish part of me (I’m perfectly aware my inner child is anything but small) that would love to believe that these stories came from something. That seems to be what this whole movie is about; it reflects on the origins of a bed time story feeding that little part of us that wishes these fantasies were a reality. Paul Giamattie did a great job playing the stuttering lead role. I don't think there were any weak characters, they all seemed packed with personality.
