Optimus Prime and Bunny Man

I refuse to bow down to the cursed critics or the movie snobs on this one. Transformers Rocked; it was a great tribute to the original cartoon series. I can once again wear my Optimus Prime shirt with pride, taking in all the retro goodness. Yes, it was a bit preachy with the GM logos, but it was not “in your face” as much as I thought it would be. Either way, no movie, no matter how good it was, would make me ever buy a GM. The Dialogue was subtle and witty and the effects were pretty %&#!@$ smooth. The robots sounded a bit cheesy at times, but it was only because they uused much of the same dialogue they had in the original series. The story line, though a bit typical, did have a few surprises. Bring on the sequel!

On another note, I have had some company in town this weekend. A friend, brad from Prince George, came into town. To my dismay, he had his car stolen in my parking lot. I live in a neighborhood, that up until now, I had thought was reclaimed from the underbelly of society. I felt horrid; the whole thing had taken place not more that 10 feet from the building in a fully lit area. The only good news is he had most everything in my apartment and the car was recovered. Aside from a broken window and a stolen MP3 player, he’s in pretty good shape. Seeing as how “Batman” has been copyrighted, I will have to roam the night protecting people in some other cloaked costume, perhaps the same effect would work with a set of armored black bunny ears.
