Interior design should be clarified as a sickness

OK, I admit it; I might have a decorating addiction. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not going to buy a little dog, move to New York and become an interior designer, but I find with my apartment coming together, I can’t help but care. There, I said it; I care about my apartment, or at least the furniture. I guess you could say my place is going to have a movie theme. Today I found the “director” style chairs at Pier 1 along with a throw pillow I wanted. Its become far too easy to spend money on this %&#$.

Gnome Liberation Front

The topic of Gnome hunting came up at dinner last night. For those of you who don’t know what gnome hunting is; it’s going around late at night and liberating gnomes from the front lawns of your tacky neighbors. Perhaps you return them repainted like members of kiss, perhaps you bring them with you on a vacation, mailing back photos, or perhaps you gather a gnome army leaving them on your friends front lawn. My current record in one night is 104 gnomes. I feel the itch to come out of retirement just one last time, to form another splinter cell on the gnome liberation front. Those interested should keep their eyes on my blog over the next month.

MMMMMM Rats

Finally, I was able to take some time to go see “Ratatouille”; and I’m happy to say it lived up to the hype. There were a few daring scenes in it for a Pixar film, maybe the animation industry is starting to learn that in order to make their money back, they might have to use something called “writers” and “witty humor”. I was so impressed with all the background wit and could not help but feel a real connection with the main character that shared my taste in shoes and small city apartments. All and all, it was worthy of the over priced movie ticket.

On another note, school in closing in, I have debated archiving most of this blog once I start the main class load, kind start it all fresh and new. Any comments?
