You wanted a comment... fine :-p I got here through your AN profile page. I was kind of hoping to see some of your art but couldn't really find it on this blog. Is your webcomic project still in the works? Drop by the AN chat room some time :)

As for Windows, to keep this even remotely on-topic: I've had Vista since 2008 and I still enjoy complaining about it and compare it to XP, but I'm not exactly thrilled by the idea of Windows 8. Ah well, at least I get to skip the whole Windows 7, probably :D That said, I'm not a PC/MAC fanatic, really, I'd probably take anything that lets me play my games and doesn't crash.

People are people, it does not matter if they are ae police officers or not, they have the same potential to be abusive. I can be pretty sure that he was not on duty. Though I can't ignore the fact that he did show me a police badge, and he carried himself with the disregard for respecting others that I have seen in many officers. I'm not saying all police are bad, but I think there is a growing minority that need better training. I did report the incident and a sergeant was very helpful on the matter.

Police officers generally don't threaten to kick asses. They can lose their badge for that. Secondly, a police officer would not be on duty during a movie unless he were an undercover, and at that point, would not be alone. Police work in two's around here, because of how dangerous it can be.

Another fact of the matter is, the RIAA, among others, wants you to believe that they're going to bat for the artists, and that by downloading music from torrents and other sources, you're hurting the artists the most. A very small percentage of the profits from album sales actually trickles down to the artists themselves, so the bulk of the money's going to the labels, which the RIAA will damn sure go to bat for because the labels have the clout to make a legitimate fuss if things don't go the way they want them to go. So the RIAA's protecting their own interests long before they're protecting the interests of the recording artists themselves.
